By the end of the course, you will be able to explain the relationship between climate change phenomena, their effects, and the mobilization of resources to increase adaptation for affected people and communities. The curriculum introduces you to the global framework of adaptation finance and provides an advanced understanding of the roles of governments, the private sector, and financial institutions in implementing adaptation projects. You will be able to critically analyze the Paris Agreement and its financial mechanisms, including the Green Climate Fund. Furthermore, you will review the challenges and opportunities in climate finance and the sources of climate finance across different financial instruments using a case study.

For courses on carbon market project audit or verification, trainees are subject to pass an accreditation test.
At the end of every training theory classes, there is an organized project site visit in Rwanda.
